Personal Life

Off the field, Fernando Torres is a quiet person who married his long term girlfriend with only 2 wedding guests present! He rarely features in the British tabloids for any other than football and he is one of the worlds greatest players, winning the world cup in 2010.

His nickname is El Nino, which means 'The Kid' in Spanish, this is because he looks younger than his actual age. A great footballer that has won 2 of the biggest prizes in football, the European Cup and the World Cup, but has only won one thing in his club career. Whilst having spent the most recent years of his career at Liverpool, Liverpool were not able to follow up their success of winning the UEFA Champions League (before Fernando Torres signed for Liverpool) with any other trophies. Torres left for Chelsea in 2011 hoping to win more trophies at club level.

Conclusion

Fernando Torres, one of the greatest players in the world today, has won many things on the international stage. He still has a number of playing years ahead of him and has a good chances of winning many more trophies. He is currently playing for Spain, the World Champions, and Chelsea Football Club.
