He played for a number of clubs when he was a boy including, Andorinha, Nacional, Sporting Clube de Portugal before signing for Manchester United for just over £12 million in 2003.

Personal Life

Christiano Ronaldo claims not to drink any alcohol at all, he even successfully sued a UK tabloid for published a story that he was drinking was heavily. Christiano Ronaldo claims that doesn't drink because his father died from alcohol.

Christiano Ronaldo is not married, but he has been romantically linked to a number of high profile women, including Paris Hilton.

In July 2010 Christiano Ronaldo announced that he was a father, but the mother is anonymous and Ronaldo has full custody of his child.

Some of his on field actions provoked a strong dislike for Christiano Ronaldo in the UK when he appeared to wink at the bench after Wayne Rooney got sent off in the 2006 world cup. He put these personal issues to one side and had 2 of the best seasons of his career when he won the player of the season award in the two subsequent years. In 2008, Ronaldo helped Manchester United to become the champions of England, Europe and the World.


Christiano Ronaldo still has many years to come playing football and he is currently playing for one of the biggest teams in the world, Read Madrid. He is one of the worlds greatest football players and will be considered as one of the world's greats when he finally hangs up his books and retires from playing football.
